Now, TriOptima has expanded its triResolve service to address other operational and credit risk challenges in the margin call management process.
Proactive portfolio reconciliation for all OTC derivative trades
With over 7 million trades being reconciled regularly through triResolve, proactive reconciliation is now expected by management and regulators. A web-based community network with around 300 institutions using the service, triResolve performs over 24,000 group reconciliations (or 106,000 legal entity level reconciliations) per week. Key performance reports are generated by triResolve users for their weekly regulatory submissions. And, most importantly, the work flow process for break management is transparent and efficient both internally and with the counterparty.
Dispute prevention and resolution
triResolve highlights any areas of dispute from the individual transaction level up to the margin call. Users have access to a web-based, flexible platform that enables communications between counterparties and even internally to provide detailed information to resolve differences. In the proactive reconciliation process, differences are researched immediately and resolved so they don’t persist contributing to disputed collateral calls. However, if a collateral dispute does arise, the flexibility and sophistication of the triResolve communications capability enables counterparties to research and resolve the problems in real time.
Margin call management
Streamlining the margin call management process is now a priority for the OTC derivatives industry as the need to reduce operational and credit risk in bilateral relationships has accelerated. triResolve has applied its expertise to the range of challenges in the bilateral collateralization process introducing margin call calculation and administration functionality as well as reconciliation of key ISDA CSA terms. Margin calls can be issued, accepted or disputed on triResolve which complies with the ISDA standard for electronic margin calls.
Real time management information reporting
A critical feature of triResolve is the advanced analytics and reporting functionality it offers users. They can drill down to any level of the data to identify root causes of problems in multiple dimensions (e.g., counterparty, asset class, etc.) and produce reports targeted to the needs of all management levels from the most senior credit officer to the head of collateral management – all of this in real time.
