As co-CEO, Guy shares joint accountability with John Stewart in setting and executing our business, performance and growth strategies. As CCO, Guy will also lead the business lines across the full product portfolio (Rates & Credit / FX & Securities / Optimisation) and sales teams.

Previously Global Head of Optimisation Services at CME Group, CEO of TriOptima and CEO of the Reset business, Guy has also held the position of Head of Asia Pacific for NEX Group’s Post-trade and Optimisation businesses and was based in Singapore. Guy spent the first half of his career as a trader in the interest rate derivatives market at Chase Manhattan Bank. Guy has an MBA from Imperial College London.

As co-CEO, John shares joint accountability with Guy Rowcliffe in designing and delivering our business, performance and growth strategies. As COO, John will also lead the Technology, Operations, Finance, Strategy, HR and Legal and Compliance functions of the business.

Formerly Partner and Senior Vice President, John was CEO and Head of the MarkitServ business, responsible for product development, commercial strategy and partnerships to advance MarkitServ’s leadership position in the OTC Derivatives Markets. Previously he held multiple positions in institutional and investment banking, including Global Head of Investment Banking Operations, Chief Data Officer, UK Group COO and Head of Transformation at UBS. Earlier in his career, John worked at J.P.Morgan, in London and New York, for over 10 years in operations and technology roles in Derivatives and Securities businesses. John is a Chartered Accountant and has a Master’s in History from Oxford.

Head of Marketing, Strategy, Planning & Execution, Chris is focused on business and brand strategy, centred on a seamless integration of our four businesses.

Previously, Chief Operating Officer & Commercial Head at MarkitServ and Co-Head of Integration Management Office, Chris was responsible for the business & commercial strategy, acquisitions and alliances. Prior to this role, he was Head of FX at Markit, after leading the sale of Deal Hub to Markit, where he was COO. For over 10 years, Chris also worked at Thomson Reuters and held the positions of Executive Vice President, Strategy, Marketing & Business Execution as well as Divisional CFO & COO roles. Chris is a Qualified Accountant and has a first-class honours degree in History, from Durham University.

Head of Sales, Susan targets opportunities that drive growth across our services, our global network and post-trade community.

Over 20 years’ Investment Banking experience. Susan joined NEX Group plc as Head of Client Engagement and Head of Reset New Product Development. Previously, she has held positions in sales, trading and structuring for leading financial institutions, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Deutsche Bank. Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service with a concentration in International Economics from Georgetown University.

 

Joanna Davies

Joanna Davies

Head of Trade Processing

Head of the Trade Processing at OSTTRA, Joanna strategically directs and manages the company’s largest business division, combining the trade processing services previously operated by Traiana and MarkitServ to create a multi-asset network, supporting customers and partners to connect and process T0 trades across asset classes.

Before joining NEX in 2016, Joanna spent 25 years in investment banking, holding roles such as Senior Listed Derivatives Voice Broker, EMEA Head of Listed Derivatives Operations, and Global Head of Listed Derivatives Client Relationship Management. NEX was acquired by the CME Group in 2018. While her current focus is on cross-asset value creation, her extensive experience in the ETD market enhances her ability to navigate the complexities of this business and provide a unique perspective on historical and current challenges in the listed derivatives industry and the broader post-trade ecosystem.

James McLoughlin

Head of Rates and Credit, James is driving our business strategic direction, platform delivery and client engagement.

Prior to this role, James was Head of Global Client Services and Customer Engagement for the Platforms and Regulatory Compliance division of IHS Markit. For over 10 years he has focused on Credit and Equity Derivatives whilst managing the Business Development for MarkitServ – and brings with him almost 30 years’ experience in the OTC Derivatives marketplace. James has also held the positions of Vice President of Product Development at the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation and Senior Vice President at Citibank, focused on OTC Derivative Operations across settlements, confirmations and collateral management. A graduate of Baruch College Zicklin School of Business and Business Management major, James began his career at JPMorgan Chase Bank, working in various functions in OTC Derivatives.

Head of Optimisation, Erik steers the strategic and commercial direction of this division, covering product development, service delivery, and opportunities to drive further growth

Erik’s extensive career with OSTTRA began in 2006, leaving to become a Senior Economist at Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden’s central bank), and re-joined us in 2015. Erik has held several leadership positions within the Optimisation division, has broad experience of the global financial industry and regulatory environment, and has worked in Stockholm and New York.

Erik has a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from the Institute of Technology in Linköpingis, and is based in our Stockholm office.

Head of Legal, Risk, Compliance and Government and Regulatory Affairs, Kirston is responsible for ensuring compliance with our regulatory and market strategy. 

Appointed at the inception of MarkitServ in 2009, Kirston has held various roles; most recently, Managing Director, Head of Risk, Regulatory and Market Strategy, previously as Managing Director, co-Head of Product Management and was also responsible for its global cross-asset, real-time public and regulatory transaction reporting service, as well as leading product management for IHS Markit’s MiFID II services. Prior to this, Kirston was Director of Business Development at DTCC, and earlier in his career he also held various roles in OTC derivatives at Barclays Capital. Kirston holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Manchester.

Chief Technology Officer, John is overseeing all aspects of technology across our organisation.

For over 20 years, John has performed a number of integral technology roles in some of the world’s biggest banks, including Royal Bank of Scotland, Citi, Barclays Capital and most recently as CIO for NatWest Markets. With evolving innovation at the core of his experience, he has garnered invaluable and insightful knowledge across all asset classes in front-, middle- and back-office technology roles. After graduating from Cambridge University with a degree in Computer Science, John joined SBC Warburg as a graduate software engineer where he built exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platforms.

Head of Operations and Client Support, Anup is focused on delivering customer service excellence.

Anup is at the forefront of our growth strategy in India. With over 20 years’ experience working in Financial Services, across Bank of America, ABN AMRO, RBS, Deutsche Bank and IHS Markit, in a variety of customer service, service management and operation roles, Anup actively brings optimisation and efficiency together to create meaningful change. Anup is a trained accountant, and he has completed a leadership development program from the London Business School.

Lucy has over 20 years’ HR experience working within the Financial Services sector and has previously held the position of Head of HR for the Optimisation businesses at NEX Group­, prior to the CME Group acquisition.

Ranjit Paul

Ranjit Paul

Head of Finance

Head of Finance, Ranjit manages the company’s finances, leads our financial strategy and is responsible for developing our Finance Operating Model.

Previously Senior Director FP&A and Financial Control at CME Group, Ranjit has also held the positions of Director of Financial Control for NEX Group plc, heading up group reporting and budget and was responsible for overall financial control. At NEX, Ranjit also served as a member of the Group Finance Committee and was a director of multiple subsidiaries. Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 2009, Ranjit moved to ICAP in 2013 and has since held a variety of senior finance roles at ICAP, NEX and CME where he worked on multiple M&A transactions and led major reorganisation efforts. Ranjit has a BSc in Economics from Warwick University.
